During April 2006, Stefan Mills (Service Engineer on left) and Colin Powley (Installations Manager on right) represented Waveney Windows at the national annual Glassex exhibition in the two installers competitions called The Glassex challenge. The competition was independently judged by The Essential Support Team Ltd (TEST) who are a leading training provider for the window industry. TEST is supported by industry training and standards bodies such as: The Glass Qualifications Authority (GQA),The British Plastics Federation (BPF),The Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF), and more recently the Fenestration Self Assessment Group (FENSA), along with leading hardware and PVC-U Systems Companies.
Two titles were up for grabs Installer of the Year and Conservatory Installer of the Year. Despite tough competition Waveney won the days heat, managing to install a conservatory in 21 minutes!!!!
Waveney are committed to total quality fitting and keen to display the companies skills by competing in national competitons on this scale.
